Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya, Glanir Bhavati Bharata,
Abhyuthanam Adharmasya, Tadatmaanam Srujaamyaham,
Paritranaaye Saadhunaam, Vinashaaye Ch Dushkritaam,
Dharma Sansthapanarthaya, Sambhavaami Yuge Yuge.
"Whenever and wherever there is a decline in Dharma (righteousness/values) and pre-dominance of unrighteousness, I manifest myself in the form of a human being. To protect the virtuous; to destroy or cleanse the wicked and to re-establish Dharma (values), I manifest myself, through the ages."
The essence of the above verses of Bhagwat Gita (a group of 700 verses taken from Mahabharat; the greatest epic of my country Bharat) is that the formless God keeps on sending His messengers to the earth in the form of human beings whenever and wherever the decline in morality, righteousness and human values goes beyond a certain limit and a CHANGE becomes inevitable. This is done in order to keep the balance in the beautiful creation of the omnipresent God by safeguarding the interest of the virtuous people; and is a phenomenon often repeated from time to time.
I am an avid reader of Bhagwat Gita. I read it several times. Several people in the past have got inspiration from this book of humanity since time immemorial and written commentaries from their points of view. Swami Ramdev Ji, Paramhansa Yogananda, Swami Ramswaroop, Prabhupad Ji Maharaj, Shankaracharya, Ramanujacharya, Sri Aurobindo, Mahatma Gandhi, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Swami Vivekananda, Bal Gangadhar Tilak are some of the enlightened beings who have written commentaries on Bhagwat Gita from time to time. It has not only inspired people of Bharat, but also a large number of people from other countries as well; like J. Robert Oppenheimer (director of Manhattan project), Charles Wilkins, Albert Einstein, Dr. Albert Schweitzer, Aldous Huxley, Henry David Thoreau, Herman Hesse, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Rudolph Steiner and many others. I apologize to all those people whose name is not listed here due to my lack of knowledge about the same and the space constraints. These 700 verses are the most talked about and translated text in the world. There is an endless list of people who wrote commentaries about Bhagwat Gita since ages.
Each translation of Bhagwat Gita was inspired by the need of the times when it was written. Every time the new commentary was written; it refreshed people’s memory and also served the purpose of reestablishing the values system and righteousness to some extent as reflected from the above two famous verses.
It is a book which acts like a Kamdhenu (a magical cow which gives all that a person wants). Every time I read this book, it gives me an ever deeper meaning. I do not consider any other book as sacred as Bhagwat Gita due to its timeless importance to the mankind. Bhagwat Gita is not a religious book of Hinduism as is popularly conceived. There is no word "Hindu" in the entire Bhagwat Gita or even in Mahabharat epic from which these 700 verses are separately taken. So, considering this as a book of a specific religion is undermining its potential and importance to the mankind. I consider each word of Bhagwat Gita as truth, considering its relevance even in today's world. So, while reading Bhagwat Gita once, I was stuck on the above verses of it and thought; why is God not sending His messenger this time when the morality is at an all-time low; when the corruption of human mind is at all time high and when the declining trend of human values is scoring new records on each passing day.
So, one day while doing my routine meditation; I picked these two verses and asked God, what else is remaining to be seen as decline in righteousness and values and why doesn’t He manifest Himself as a human being and restore the world order. I asked Him what else He was waiting for and why He doesn’t establish the Dharma (values) which he had prescribed for His most beautiful creation called as Humanity.
I asked Him why this wonderful country Bharat is becoming a country of corrupts. I asked Him whether you exist at all or it is just an illusion in which we humans are living. Isn’t it already too late and you should send souls like Ram and Krishna and consolidate the things? These were some of my doubts which even God found slightly trickier to answer.
I was hopeful that He will oblige and reply back to my questions and fulfill my wish of restoring the “World Peace” and re-establishment of value system and removal of corruption from human minds.
I was hopeful that he will incarnate and create a world order where everyone will be able to live their life to the fullest and as per the User Manual defined by Him at the time of creation of the world. However, the outcome of the discussion with God was entirely different. He said that He never needs to incarnate as He is omnipresent. He never takes human birth to correct such things. Instead He empowers few people with the guidance of becoming the Change Agents and becoming the transition persons from time to time by providing them the knowledge of truth. Here are the excerpts of my meeting with God.
Author: Good Evening father!
God: Good evening son! You look quite tense! What happened!
Author: I am worried about the future of the world. I am worried that we are not going to leave a good legacy which our future generations will be able to cherish. The human values are declining to such an extent that everyone has created their own definition of character and morality and Dharma (righteousness). The number of virtuous people is declining and the number of corrupts are increasing day by day. Please fulfill my one wish and give me a world which is free from sins, a world which is free from corruption, and a world where people subscribe to a common human value system of highest order which you have defined for them.
God: Hmm.
Author: I need inner peace and I know I would not be at peace unless “World Peace” is restored. I want you to incarnate and prove that the above two verses of Gita are also true like other verses. I have already realized most of the verses of Bhagwat Gita to be true through my own experiences; however I am not able to realize the above two verses. I have strong belief in what is defined in the Gita which Krishna spoke for Arjuna and Maharishi Ved Vyas wrote for the humanity on your guidance. However, considering today’s situation of the world, I am losing confidence on the above two verses and thinking that you won’t come to human life to save this world from declining Dharma (values) as you have promised through Krishna at the battlefield of Mahabharat.
God: What made you think that the decline in human values is at all time high? Have you not read history where there were a lot of atrocities on humans during almost all times and almost all places? What is so special today that I should worry about and think to choose the transition persons like I did by choosing Ram and Krishna during Treta and Dwapar Eras respectively?
Author: Father, please don’t play games with me. Don’t you know that the decline of human values is at an all-time high? And don’t you know this is more prevalent in this wonderful country Bharat than several other countries. This country was once the mentor of the world and today it is becoming mostly a slave and corrupt and really lost its Swabhiman (Self Esteem). When I was young I kept hearing the song “Saare Jahan Se Achhchha Hindustaan Hamara” (Bharat is the best of all countries of the world). However, the Swabhiman of many of its citizen is lost by the time I grew old. The decline in values is such high that it is becoming difficult for me to accept that we are best amongst all countries. I can see most of the other country’s citizen to be more prosperous due to the contribution they have made for their country and on the other hand, we are totally dependent on other countries for most of the things including running all major four systems of Education, Governance, Businesses and Services even when we were the mentors of the world and currently have highest density of human resources on this planet.
God: I am not sure what you are considering as decline in human values. Can you elaborate on that?
Author: Well, I am sure that you know everything. But let me try to explain the things in my words; let me try to explain which all concerns I do have.
God: Ok. Go ahead, I am listening. I keep listening to prayers of the people for whatever they want; mostly they come to me for a desire of getting something and I do fulfill their desires based on their own actions. And actually this is my only job. I don’t do any action, but respond back with equivalent reaction to people as per their actions. I will hear you as well, but will fulfill only that much, which should be given as the results of your action.
Author: I am not sure where to start with. The decline in value system is at all levels and in all areas. If I speak about all of them, then probably I will end up writing a book specifically for the problems this country and world is going through. However, I will raise only major ones for now which I want corrected at the earliest. So, first one is related to senior political and business positions. As you know that I am just an ordinary citizen so probably I do not understand what intellectuals and specialists in politics and business, debate on news channels; however my simple common sense doesn’t understand what this debate is all about, why they are wasting lots of energies doing debates and not actually doing anything tangible that will make them true leaders in their area of specialization? Why don’t they concentrate on thinking about the common man’s pain before taking any decision in boardroom meetings? I am not sure what wisdom they apply but due to this I have doubts on the effectiveness of the education system they are product of.
God: Ok. Please continue.
Author: I do not understand why a person commits sins like corruption even when he has more money than what his human body actually needs! I have heard in news about people placed at really very high positions who were involved in corruption. I have heard names of people at the positions of Chief Vigilance Commissioner, Chief Justice, Prime Ministers, Chief Ministers, Chief Executing Officers, International Games organizers, Railway Ministers, IMF Chief, and Presidents of big countries, people in CBI, Army, Judiciary, and Bureaucrats, Educationists, Doctors, Teachers and almost all fields. I really wonder whether the real educated people are running this country and the world or anyone and everyone has got a moral right today to loot the public money and keep masses struggling to get even the basic necessities. Don’t you think it is time for a big CHANGE and a Yug Parivartan (Change of the Era)?
God: Ok. I got you. So, you are concerned about bribes and the scams that you are hearing about these days, Right?
Author: I am not finished as yet. It was just the tip of the iceberg. This form of corruption comes under economic crimes; however I am concerned about the other forms of declining human values as well. For eg, the movie-makers; without doing the clear impact analysis of their actions of producing immoral movies on the humanity; keep making movies which are displaying much lower standards of morality and human values on each passing day. Even some of the genius movie makers have produced disgusting movies off-late. They show excessive violence, they show very shameful way of showcasing women to people at large; and even the women have started participating in the same and becoming the indirect cause of other women from general public being molested. They are forgetting what this country was always known for and where they are taking it now. They are just focused on earning money and unknowingly doing moral crimes on a daily basis. I do not understand which education system they have studied from. And above all, they are getting audience as well who do like such movies. Don’t you think these are enough reasons for Yug Parivartan or do you want to wait more and we should wait for some more shameful situations to come?
God: I am noting down. So, you mentioned about political and business world and then you talked about declining morality standards in movies. Go ahead, I am listening. What else is hurting you?
Author: It hurts me a lot when I see that the saviors are becoming the hunters (read politicians and government machinery becoming corrupt). It hurts me a lot when millions of people on this planet live on less than 20 rupees a day and on the other hand million others have millions on their disposal. It hurts me a lot when a country once ruled by Dharmraj Yudhishthir, Sri Ram, Vikramaditya, Raja Rammohan Roy, Maharaj Bharat, Satyawadi Harishchandra and Jalaluddin Akbar has stopped producing leaders who reflect the values prescribed by our ancient Rishi Munis (Self Realized people and people of high wisdom and consciousness). It hurts me a lot when I see that in the largest democracy of the world, peaceful protesters which included fasting women, elderly and Sanyasis (renounced); are beaten mercilessly in the middle of the night and so called educated people debating the same on the news channels with many of them justifying the act done by the police and government whom we pay to keep us safe.
God: Hmm.
Author: It hurts me a lot when I see that there is a food crisis in the world and still the people who produce food for us (farmers) are doing suicide in high numbers each year. It hurts me a lot when I see the young people of this country acquiring old age diseases, although this is the country that has shown the path towards remaining disease free to the entire world. It hurts me a lot when I see even the educated and highly placed people treating women as a commodity even though this is the country which has shown the world; the respect towards women. It hurts me a lot when highly educated people do not consider serving alcohol to the youngsters in parties as wrong; even in the sacred city like Gurgaon, which was given by Pandavas to their Guru Dronacharya as a Guru Dakshina (education fee). It hurts me a lot when I see that people of this country do not consider bad things as bad and good things good. It hurts me a lot when a person is considered as old fashioned, outdated and laughed at if he talks about values and morality. Don’t you think that decline in human values has reached to maximum and it is the right time for a big CHANGE?
God: Oh your concerns have no boundaries. They are going in all directions. Are you done, or you have more to add?
Author: I keep hearing through media that someone has killed his father, mother, son, daughter, sister and cousins. I keep hearing that people are dying on roads due to cold, heat, starvation and even due to someone beating someone mercilessly on very trivial issues. I keep hearing about people killing others due to small scratches created on their cars due to someone’s small mistake. I keep hearing about rising cost of commodities, health facilities and all other services and people getting deprived of even the basic things like food, health and education.
God: Hmm.
Author: I have observed that people have become very self-centered and totally insensitive towards their country. I have observed that there are so many people in this country who have lots of money and knowledge; however they are still totally focused to earn more without ever thinking to pay back to their country who has given them the opportunities, privileges and ability to earn more than millions of other people. What else I would say I see very low wisdom applied on the decision taken these days in almost every field. I am not saying that there is no good person left on this planet and this country; however what I am concerned about is the decreasing number of such people. We have 121 Crore human resources and still we are not able to do anything substantial to bring back the Swabhiman of this country. The so called highly educated people keep showcasing that the country is growing, Bharat is shining, millionaires and billionaires are increasing in Bharat, and we are becoming one of the fastest growing economies in the world and what not about the growth of Bharat. But then, we have almost 3 times of America’s population living below the poverty line. What else do you want to see as decline in human potential, values and morality? Is it not a time for Yug Parivartan (CHANGE of ERA)?
God: Any other thing you want to add before I should reply?
Author: I know your time is very important and you have to respond back to many other people as well. I will not take much of your time and would just conclude about my concern areas. I am worried that even though we have the highest number of people in the world who are religious and spiritual but still the human values declining trend is not stopping. I know that Science has given much to the humanity; however it has created many more physical, mental, emotional and spiritual diseases as well. However, the major concern is that even the Spirituality has also done the same. I know it is the spirituality which tells people of morality, good behavior and values; however even people have no agreement on that as well. I keep hearing that although the logic behind you is one and only one, but still we have so many conflicting spiritual paths existing today. I am not sure which one to select so as to understand the right human values. I do not understand what the “Defined Values” are for me.
I can keep telling you about the vices this country is slowly moving into. I request you to send some Change Agent and correct all this, which is ruining this divine country; due to which it is losing its Swabhiman (Self Respect). I request you to send some Change Agent who can stop this country becoming a spiritual (alcohol) capital of the world in a completely different sense. I request you to prove each verse of the Gita as true, including the above two and send some Change Agent who can bring the highest human values in front of my countrymen.
God: I truly empathize by your concerns; however I am unable to do anything, as my only job is to respond back with results of the actions performed by individuals. While creating this world, I had given enough knowledge to the first few people and then I delegated this as a task to the people themselves to pass it on to their newer generations. And as a blue print of the Grand Design of this world, I am no one to do anything after the creation project was completed. Now that the project has moved into operations I only focus on giving back the fruits of one’s action as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) defined by me. It is the responsibility of all humans to keep this planet safe by using it in the manner I have prescribed in the user manuals at the time of creation. If I feel that enough is enough, I will anyways scrap everything and start the Grand Dissolution.
Author: (listening patiently)
God: You all were there as immortal souls at the beginning of this creation, like all previous ones and will be there in the next ones as well. However as you travelled from one life to another, your consciousness has declined. The only way this world can be saved is by uplifting the consciousness of people by imparting them the Knowledge of Truth. It is true that I keep on sending messengers to the world to re-establish that value system; however, unless someone desires to become such Change Agent, I am helpless. Have you not heard that “God help those who help themselves”. So, I am waiting for someone to come with the desire of becoming that Change Agent and give me the opportunity to prove the above two verses true as well. All that I need from a person is the strong desire and curiosity to get that knowledge and I will empower him with all the solutions of all the problems existing today.
Author: Hmm.
God: And let me ask you what your contribution towards reviving the values is. You are also doing a lot of injustice to people in this world by your lack of true knowledge. You have come to me with the request of sending some Change Agents; however, can I ask you why you are not desiring of becoming that Change Agent and transition person yourself and lead the world towards world peace? I keep listening to you when you do prayers, but have you tried to listen how I am responding back with answers? I listen through the prayers and I speak through the meditation. So, if you really want to see that CHANGE; “be that CHANGE”. I am leaving for now as this meeting time is exceeded and I have few good people whom I have to respond in their meditation. I am giving you some time to think over it and propose your name for the candidature of being the CHANGE AGENT. See you again once you develop the ability of listening to truth and then come back to me with a strong curiosity to realize the truth. Bye for now.

So, this was the background behind the inspiration of writing this book, which targets to bring that knowledge in front of my countrymen, which was once available to most of the people; but was hidden since the times of Mahabharat, due to the invaders of Bharat keeping no stone unturned to destroy the same from time to time. Now is the time when that knowledge and secret should uncover its potential and provide a Pandora box of questions which we have stopped asking during our “this” life. The answers to those questions can help us lead a meaningful life free of all illusions and solve every problem from the root including but not limited to all corruption that we see today and sometimes which we don’t even see.
The intent of this mission is not to blame anyone about anything; but an attempt to bring those secrets in front of the reader, which will clarify the “Why” behind the “What” of most of the things in the world including the reason behind people’s mind getting corrupt day by day. The book intends to imbibe the values that we as the citizen of this wonderful country were always known for, to the entire world. The intent is to leave a legacy for the current and future generations of humanity, which can help them in the time of need and prove to be motivational and inspirational for a long-long time. The purpose is to create the Change Agents who can bring back the laurels of this country and help us restore the Bharat Swabhiman (Pride of Bharat of once being the mentor of the world and the Golden Bird).
I hope this book will give something to everyone; and probably everything to someone. Through this book, I would try my level best to make each citizen of this country and then the world, an ever effective person in his/her personal and professional lives. This book has potential to become the greatest scripture of humanity for future generations. It is not the test of me or you; but a test of principles created by God and supported by the voices of those Change Agents from Science and Spirituality who had achieved the higher levels of consciousness during different times and left the legacy of knowledge for all of us to learn from.
In my next meeting with God, I will ask Him about the “Defined Values” that I should learn and imbibe in me so as to be able to apply for being a transition person and a CHANGE Agent to develop people’s consciousness and removal of all sorts of corruption existing in the world today.
